Finding our new normal

We are so blessed!! We had family in town for the past several weeks and I don't know how we would've survived without them. My mom is a rock star and stayed for 3 weeks. She was a huge help- doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning, keeping Kate in line...especially with using the potty, and the list goes on. She left this morning and we already miss her!
Matt's family came in also and we had a good visit with them over the weekend. Kate loves seeing her grandparents and I'm so glad they were all able to come and see the girls.
We are slowly trying to find our new normal. Mom left this morning and Matt had work until lunch. Tomorrow he's gone all day, home for an hour at dinner and back in class until 9:30pm. It should be interesting to see how I do alone for so long. We went to the grocery store yesterday with Grammie and it went well. It'll take some getting used to to get 2 kids ready, down the stairs, in the car AND then get the errands run.
Kate has been doing great!! She has her whiny tantrums occasionally, but overall she's been really good. She got some new books at the library and we've been reading them a lot. She's been sleeping really well...even when Claire cries at night.
Claire is doing well. She's still super sleepy and isn't awake much. She's eating well and seems to be gaining weight. We go back to the doctor next Tuesday to make sure she's back up to her birth weight and that the jaundice is gone. She's learned how to poop and pee when we open the diaper. Almost every time we go to change her diaper we get attacked...even after we plugged in the wipe warmer. A couple of times she's gotten some pretty good distance with the poop. The carpet has been cleaned a few times already. :)
Supporting our Red Raiders on Saturday. Wish they were doing better this season!

My friend Hollie made the hat and booties...so cute!
